In case you're wondering why Gentle Typhoon and not EK or Noctua, it's because it's readily available locally and their performance is of equal, if not better than the mentioned 2 large brand.

How does the X2 GP-14 compare to noctua NF-A14?

The define r6 (when available) will coming with those. I already have 1 NF-A14 currently and would like to complete the look if there is a significant improvement.

I have 1x X2 GP-14 and 4x GP-14 in my Fractal Design Define S case. They're rated at 1000 rpm, non-pwm, 3-pin headers. Does push some air yet very quiet. The cable is not braided, but fully black at least thus easy to hide.

According to specs, it pushes 115m3/h at 1000 rpm while Noctua NF-A14 pushes 140.2m3/h at 1500 rpm.

I have no complaints of the X2 GP-14s. After 2 years, none has slowed down or make any noise.

You will be surprise by the sound of it. 3000rpm yet still not as loud as other 3000rpm fans.

Remember TS. Fans cannot just look at how fast it spins and how much air can it move.

The specs behind every fan is nothing and meaningless until tested and proven.

Totally. No other 120mm will ever beat the harmonious balance of airflow, static pressure and sound signature of GTs.

Cooler Encik, Zalwoman, Noctowl, Corsai, Bitphoenix, NZXL, Fraction Design, Silverbatu, Thermalput can have whatever spec, have whatever endorsement from LinusTechTips, but they have yet to match Nidec.

Now, if Panasonic/KDK suddenly released a case fan, then I'd be interested.

Want to try replace the Cryorig R1 Universal included fans. they're 140mm with 120mm mounts...

Won't cool much. Those fans that comes with it already good enough.

140mm is poorer in static pressure just higher in airflow.

And besides, there isnt much 140mm to choose from.

I see. Because I bought the R1 Universal instead of Ultimate, the front fan is the thin type. I checked my clearance and should fit a proper thick one.. THICC 140mm with 120mm mount so hard to find. Maybe just get Noctua NF-A15s?

If you want a cheaper option, go get the cryorig fan 140 from Corbell, check with them if they have it.

Universal to ultimate is just merely the front fans.

NF A15 I don't think it is sold in sg? Either way both fans works fine. Just no ground breaking cooling performance. Probably drop like 2-3degC. Only change if you are chasing every degrees.
