any good cases to recommend in the region of $100-150? my requirements are: mid tower case, atx compatibility, white color, preferably good aesthetics (subjective of course :))

I fancy the minimalist design of the bitfenix cases but sadly those only come in smaller form factors. carbide air 540 also looks appealing with it's huge side window and novel design but it doesn't seem to come in white?

anyway, what do u guys look for in a case? personally I mainly look for aesthetics and number of front USB ports. to me a case seems the least important component but I'm sure I'm missing some other factors here haha.

hmmm my opinion i think this is a great case in terms of aesthetics and also very windy to cool your parts. other factors includes the cooling ability, wire management, how many fans, atx or itx or matx, how many hdd or ssd slots still got alot ba

design is important for me.

personally don't like mesh (damn ugly imo, after having owned a thermaltake chaser mk1)

front usb not so important. 2 usb3.0 should be sufficient for me. can also use my dell monitor's 2 usb ports. :s13:

also like full side window to show-off your internals. (although you can DIY the window yourself or search in forums for people who can do them for a fee)

If you are going for a quiet case, can consider either Corsair 330R or Fractal Design Define R4.

There you go! NZXT Phantom 410 white. It was my favourite but later I went with Red and Black Aerocool Strike-X GT instead coz more flashy and alienist.

540 air. It has a white version. But imo dont really like the finishing for the white. Would prefer the silver ones with white led fans.

thanks for all the suggestions guys. seems like 540 air is quite popular eh? now im also kinda leaning towards it. how much is the case ah anyone?

i had also been considering the nzxt phantom 410 but i was looking to other options to compare to. it seems white cases are really quite limited in choices.

actually, i might be choose to go for a black 540 air also. i was gonna put my case on the floor and my table is white so i wanted to kinda match it. but since all my pc peripherals are black, maybe can do a black/white two tone pc/desk setup :) with no front cover on the 540 air it might be difficult to find a white 5.25" disk drive to match anyways...

You can do what i did for my black corsair 540 air. Replaced the 2 front fans with either 2x140mm/3x120mm white LED fans. Get the black/white tone look..

Used the corsair AF140 white LED fans for mine. The LED shining through the front mesh very nice look =)
