Hi all.

when i start to game, my case inside damn hot and stuffy. even when i only play one game of csgo. then i play my other games, same problem, whether it's a short 20min game or 3hr game. the surface of my case also hot.

games ranges from csgo, dota, mgs, witcher

currently using the below:

graphic card- msi 970
case- phanteks p400(w/ side window)
case fan- standard 2 that comes with the case
cpu fan- cryorig h7

do i need to purchase new fans? not very good at this fan thing. or is it my settings problem?

add another 2 corsair HF120/HF140

2 at the front and 1 at the back and 1 as t the top.

and try cleaning your rig first - vacuum away the dust etc, before buying new case fans.

Clear the dust off your cpu, psu and gpu heatsink and fans too. Change thermal paste as well. Then see if the Temps still high.

your case got how many fans blowing out? try having one blowing out at the back and one at the top, closer to the back.

Corsair only have SP and AF.
SP for pressure, AF is airflow. ML fans are under SP, so you're better off with AF fan unless got HDD blocking the fans or the dust filter / case is restrictive.

i dunno abt corsair retail fans, but my stock casing af140 fans are silent but super weak - only at max my palm can feel very slight wind...
i wudn't pay any money for them...

depends on what do you actually want to improve. if the "hot and stuffy" is what you feel your room becomes when you game, then no, this is not going to help. your computer will produce the same amount of heat no matter how many case fans you use, and this heat will be transferred to your room. at best it will do is to decrease the operating temperature of the components of your computer by a bit (e.g. GPU runs a few degrees lower).

Those things can push a lot of air, and at very high pressure too. I got the ML120 too. A tad overkill but should help lower case temps.

tried opening the room and windows for better air ventilation?

as for your case is a steel that why when u touch it, u feel hot.

it's your GPU that is producing a lot of heat, and does so when under load, e.g. when playing games. normal.

unless you have comparative experience stating otherwise, if so please elaborate.

It does help. ML fans is between SP (Static Pressure) and AF (Air Flow) fans.
I converted my entire case fans including my CPU AIO cooler fans to them. So 3 140mm and 2 120mm ML Pros.

The ML Pros are designed in a way that the 120mm fans have even more fan speed which beats even SP fans so it is much more perfect for CPU AIO Cooling while the 140mm fans are clearly meant to be used as case fans and they push a LOT of air unlike my previous fans.

Based on Asus motherboard's PWM Auto configuration, it did cool down my overall system MUCH lower than my previous fans did due to it having more speed and thus, better overall cooling. I saw a drastic drop in all areas of my motherboard including the CPU of at least 2 degrees Celsius at idle nearly matching my room temperature by 1 degree higher.

But I bought the fans for its quietness. So I set the fan speed at its lowest for the 140mm while increasing the temperature limit in which the fans will spin faster for my 120mm fans on the CPU.

By doing this, I have achieved a near silent PC configuration even when watching videos and yet achieving cooling performance that match my previous setup but is overall so much more quieter. Almost dead silent.
The sound it makes at startup is a huge improvement over my previous fans where it sounded like a jet taking off. You'll know what I mean if you have an Asus motherboard and that initial fan blast it does at startup.

Due to it having a nice balance between SP and AF, expect it to not have sudden fan speed increase that the motherboard does when temperature increases because with the setup that I did, the CPU rarely increase in speed exponentially and thus, lesser fan blast. As for my GPU,

As you can see, once you go ML, it can suit whatever type of person you are. You can either choose a silent config that will have temperatures similar to my old fans' noisy fan speed or you can choose the auto config done by your motherboard and expect the temperature of the entire motherboard to drop to temperatures very close to room temperature which may keep your system running longer.

It's the best of both worlds. Plus, it will last longer since there is almost no friction. So you can expect your ML fans to be with you through many iterations of your PC build. Thumbs up for these!

PS. I do my 7 day temperature comparison using the CAM software.

Thermal paste got difference of coz. More expensive ones like arctic silver 5 is more effective in transferring the heat from the chip to the heatsink, allowing heat to dissipate faster.

I'm not too familiar with thermal compounds pricing and brands. So I won't be recommending you which one is good or not.
