The custom officer will ask you, if your car is a Singapore car. You answer yes the he will say (most likely), nevermind.

At Tuas and Woodlands checkpoint sometimes the reader got problem, I nicely tell the officer and he always ask the question if your's a Singapore car. A few times didnt pay toll. Haha.

But then last time it was $1.20, probably not a lot of $ to ICA or LTA but now increase to $3.80 maybe they will force you to pay.

Yes, when the Toll just went up, they are insistent about the payment.

Happened to me that when was coming out of JB, the machine not working properly. Confirm not my card problem since I went in with the same cashcard, and it works on my car reader.

After multiple tries (like 8 times? the officer also tried), still cannot and she never let me go. End up I took out a EZ-Link card and luckily it worked.

Before the toll went up, the officer will just say nvm, go ahead. Think now very stringent about it.
