Just to share, there are so many cashless way to make payment nowadays. Nets, flash pay, pay ware etc... More and more company start gift card sales.
One of my friend received a watsons gift card , when he made payment at watsons , cashier told him there is zero value in the card and there is no way to check the transaction history. Write to customer service for months but no reply. Maybe his friend give him an empty card, maybe.
For myself , I received a Starbucks gift card. Register online since there is a free drink. Once reg saw the $ value. Went to Starbucks for drink. Cashier told me zero value too. I clearly remember the value is in. But too bad, supervisor came and check say zero value. Pay by cash and online check transaction history. Show $ was deducted at the time I made my purchase.
Write to Starbucks, went to the store manager. They replied the value which wrongly will refund back to the gift card once they verify no purchase was meant for the deduction.
So.... $ in gift card just stolen like tat.
