Hello all, am thinking of replacing my Cooler Master Elite 330 and upgrading to a better case, which will also fit my newly purchased MSI 970 4GD5T OC better. Currently using a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P mobo (I know, quite old :p)

Budget is around $100.

Please advise!

Thanks :)

Deepcool Tesseract ($65)
Sharkoon BD28 ($79)
CM N500 ($81)
Corsair 200R ($85)
Sharkoon T28 ($89)
Corsair Spec 01/02/03 ($89)

These cases are ATX sized and have a GPU clearance of at least 300mm. Pick one.

Corsair Spec 01/02/03 ($89)
I do not recommend the SPEC-01/02/03 casings for 775 boards.

775 CPU sockets are higher on the board than later i5/i7 ones, and the top motherboard studs on the SPEC-series casings are almost at the roof. The result :-

- W/C: No issue.
- Stock Intel cooler: May or may not be able to use the 120mm fan holes at the top panel. Will be a very tight fit even if able to.
- Tower coolers: Doesn't matter if they are 90mm or 120mm coolers, if you use a tower cooler, those 2 fan holes at the top panel cannot be used.

Also, SPEC-series casings height limit for coolers is listed as 157mm. Most 120mm fan tower coolers are 159/160mm or taller. Read in some forum that someone was using a CoolerMaster Hyper 212X which is 158mm tall on a SPEC-02 or 03 with no problems though.

Thanks for the reply guys. Not sure whether I should go with the Deepcool Tesseract or splurge a bit more for the CM 690 III..
