Scoot economy - other than non-premium seats (i.e. no-extra-leg-space seats, not-Scoot-in-Silence seats) which is already paid for, everything else must pay. If you want more leg space, Scoot has some nice seats (first row of Scoot in Silence seats). In-flight food and entertainment also need to pay for them.
Scoot business - everything is paid for. But the business class seats don't look attractive to me. I prefer first row of Scoot in Silence seats, really a lot of leg space. For both business class and Scoot in Silence seats, you are damn far away from the toilet. If they are urgent and can't walk fast, it's not really an ideal seat. Scoot business seats are slightly wider as well.
For both classes, you will choose your preferred seat during booking.
Scoot's flight timings - They can be the worst or best depending on the person, but most people absolutely hate their timings.
Cathay economy - since it's not budget, you will get in-flight food, in-flight entertainment, get to choose your seats in advance (via online check-in). Economy seats across most, if not all airlines all have crappy amounts of leg space if you are average height and above. Food wise, I don't remember Cathay's food being wonderful, but edible lah. Between Scoot's and Cathay food, I prefer Scoot.
Cathay business - more comfortable.
