Basically I have a mount point /mnt/usb which was meant for my USB HDD Dock. However, noticed during my last reboot that /mnt/usb was auto-mounted from /dev/sdb3 which is a root mount point from a SATA HDD. Anyone knows how did /dev/sdb3 got "auto-mounted" onto /mnt/usb when it's not specified in fstab nor udev? Where else can I look to rectify?

How do you determined it is not managed by udev?

based on current understanding...from udev.rules file? If it's not stated in the rules file, it shouldn't be by udev?

have friend explained to me on the issue... and think my issue has been resolved. just have to take note on my next reboot.
