Central Asia - package or f&e

Planning to travel to Central Asia - the stans next year.

Have looked through some local agents and they do provide such tours for slightly under sgd4k covering mainly khazakstan and Uzbekistan

Anyone has experience doing a f&e or went with overseas land tour travel agents before?

Too expensive! Uzbekistan is cheap! You can get a 'nice' hotel for US$30 on average. Unless your $4k is for all flights + trains + meals and hotels for a one month trip!

Almaty is expensive for Central Asia's standard though.

It’s only for 2 weeks, flights and meals inclusive

I can only do 2-3 weeks max. I remember seeing your thread (or was it a blog?) some time back about a trip there or have I gotten the wrong person? Would like to read it again if it is still available!
