my understanding is a formation thing.. but maybe is a division thing, can't confirm

Certain units fall under the division while others fall under formation(ie, commandos, 48 SAR etc) so it's based on the percentage of the respective form/div

I'm not exactly sure about the actual percentages but I managed to promote 9 CFC for my platoon. So it's safe to say there's not fixed quota per platoon or company. I was puzzled too but what I think happened and why I managed to get the promotions for my men is because the other same division battalions, same unit companies and platoon of the same bmt batch were not very pro-active in doing the paperwork or doing the recommendation.

CFC is by recommendation only and the promotion is not managed by the unit S1 Branch like for LCP or CPL. The various division G1 or formation manpower dept manages the promotion for CFC.

At least how I did things in the past was I will recommend the names to S1 Branch, subsequently they'll bring it up to CO level for him recommend again to the relevant dept(Usually when it reach that level, he'll just tick the boxes on the system). Hence I'm not really sure about the exact percentages, because every name I recommended to S1, I got it.

How to get CFC? You're eligible after 2 months from when you attain your CPL for combat vocations. Usually your performance is ultra outstanding, you have ippt gold and marksman too.

Hope this helps :)

its 10% of the total number of corporal of the division your unit is in. Most of the time, your unit CO can push for the promotion so the number of CFC is more.
