I recently fully qualified and certified for it. It is popular with accountants/audito due to the financial fraud that they need to detect. Recently, I see that IT Security professionals or Corporate Security people are going to it as well.

It's one of the most respected certification in Anti-Fraud domain, I'm not trying to be biased but it is a fact that ACFE is the market leader for this similar for ISACA for IS auditing, (ISC)2 for InfoSec professional.

As for the usefulness, it depends on everyone's context.

Thanks for the info, Leonard. May I know how you study for it? Do you buy the prep course or toolkit? ACFE charges 30% for shipping, which I thought was exorbitant. What is the cheapest way of shipping books from them? I was thinking of Vpost but have not used them before.

Any cert which I am interested in is the CIPP. But seemed like its not offered in SG. Gotta fly to US to take...

It's been a long time since I got one but didnt want to burden myself with the CPE. This one seems like quite ok and more importantly, more interesting apart from the techie and hacking stuff.
