Do you think it's unfair to the 3rd placed team? I read it's a good money spinner but why don't they extend it to the relegation battle as well? Millwall missed the auto qualification by 1 point and now they have to play against 2 more teams who finished behind them for the final spot.

Rochdale one is a bit biased refereering. They don't want to blow the whistle.

Add on 5 min for pitch invasion.

Pls lo the other team also invade the pitch, then the time also need extend by another 5 min.

no because u say like that then also unfair to 4th to 6th team if they miss out by a few points from 3rd place ma.

also first 3 teams may not end up be as good as the team that got in through the playoffs. burnley , leeds and sunderland are the best example right now, sunderland got in through playoffs and are doing much better than burnley and leeds which got automatic promotion.

rochdale fans sabo the team. ref wouldn't have added extra time if they never invade the pitch

this concept of fair or not fair is a construct of the education system to create order among children in school. And then they bring the same concept to the adult life.

Adult life is actually based on the law.

Rules and rules. There is no fair or not fair. They set the rules just work within the rules and laws.

should have let the top 3 be promoted
likewise how the PL's btm 3 gets relegated

Championship clubs alrd played more than 40 matches

still need for play-offs to those in 3 4 5 6 positions

but since they're "happy" w/ this arrangement, so be it then

i've long said the fairest playoff is the german league style? 3rd from bottom teir 1 vs 3rd from top tier 2 in a 2 legged playoff to decide who stays/gets promoted to the bundesliga and who stays/gets relegated to bundesliga.2
