I have a MSI Twin FrozII Factory OC Nvidia GTX 570. It is slightly above 3 years old.

I play Dota 2 most of the time, with the occasional graphic intensive games such as Crysis 3.

1 of my GPU fan is not functioning well and can be heard switching on and off during games.

I also am unable to play Dota 2 at max settings as it will lag and just a couple of days ago, my PC will hang (monitor go black).

I have already done diagnostics on my other hardware parts and I have narrowed it down to my GPU.

My cheapest solution will be buying an aftermarket cooler ($59-$120).
My 2nd cheapest solution is to buy a water cooled GPU cooler.

My expensive solution is to buy a new GPU (maybe Asus Strix 970 @ $6XX)

May I hear feedbacks/suggestions?

Can go for the 970 to upgrade your 570. Quite a significant 1, the Zotac or palit models which is selling for 49x on Lazada, and further discounts on Friday if u pay w mastercard.

I think a new GPU would be a better idea

Can look at Palit or Zotac GTX970, they are available below 500 and they would also give a significant performance and thermal improvement over your existing GTX570

Why never consider the red camp?

I was in the green camp 4 years ago till recently, due to 3 of our nvidia cards failed just after the warranty is over, now giving AMD a try.

Red can try 390. Slightly pricier. 500

the only issue with this card is heat, very easy hit near 90 degree.

Spec wise, it is better than 970 and is more future proof, can run at 1440p and don't have the 3.5 gb memory issue.
