Hi,

I'm changing my pc, should I change my current PSU andyson F650 650w of 6 years?

If change, Evga g2 Gold 80+ 650w or Superflower leadex gold 80+ 650w will be better?

Going to be running:

CPU: i7 6700k (overclocking)
Mobo: Asus z170A
Gpu: Evga gtx1070 sc
Ram: Ballistix sport lt ddr4 16gb 2400 (2x8gb sticks)
Cooler: Noctua-D15
Psu: ?

Thanks in advance

If u think your PSU still capable of handling the new rig den go for it. But if change to a new one just go with either since both are the same just that it's paste with different stickers.

EVGA G2 series' specifications is based on Superflower leadex series. Just that EVGA G2 550w/650w got 7 years warranty while Superflower leadex gold got 5 years warranty.

Thanks for replying,

Anyone using the superflower leadex gold 80+ 650w? Are their Pcie cable head connecting to the gpu red in color and cpu blue? If no, is it black or white version?

They are all in black sleeving. For the modular connector (proprietary 9 pin cube) side leadex version has bright white LED that you can't toggle off (IIRC). EVGA (normal modular cables) set doesn't.

The 8pin connector head connecting to the gpu and cpu (cpu1 & cpu2) is black too?

Would like to check if yours is white or black version of superflower leadex?

It should be black for the connector head since the superflower gold 550w that I had comes in full black cable

Evga Gq version is semi modular one iirc haha. Want to try a full modular one this time round, thanks for the advice though. :)

Was looking at the Amazon evga g2 650w 80+ also, but like nothing to buy to top up to US$125 for free delivery.

Thanks man, was worried when I saw the angry red pcie connector on Superflower's website.

May I know yours is the black version of superflower psu? Cause there's a white version too.

Used to have black model from tech dynamic. Full black. The only potential gripe with SF model are the modular connector LEDs. It can be pretty blinding at night if you don't have a PSU shroud or dual chamber chassis on a windowed setup. They also permeate through the transparent cube connector increasing the area with the blinding LED.

Otherwise TD stocks if you buy direct are very recent. Did an RMA in oct, they opened a new set to replace and the serials were from 2016-07 (S1607). My EVGA P2 (Amazon) that's bought around the same time was from 2016-02 batch if that matters.

Thanks for the heads up man. Tech dynamic like no stock of superflower leadex 650w 80+ and their 750w version on lazada. Maybe got to try doraemon see if he have.

Evga g2 650w gold 80+ like cost more if buy locally, think probably will get superflower. Unless something good comes up in Amazon.

There's free McAfee AV 12 months key + a free RTS game for EVGA sets redeemable. But it remains a question whether those freebies are really the deciding factor between G2 & SF model. They work the same, maybe go for price if the LEDs are a non-issue.

http://www.evga.com/Products/ProductList.aspx?type=10&family=Power+Supplies&chipset=650+Watts

Thanks for the info man!

Probably will get the sf leadex, really like the white version one. Just worried later come the connector is red and blue ones. Or maybe wait near Christmas see Amazon got any good mouse to go with the evga g2 psu for free shipping.

Any idea where can get Fractal design define S side casing with window? Convergent like no reply on their sub forum.
