Changing job industry

Hi all, I'm currently in my first year studying it degree at suss. Wanted to find a job related to my studies but did not have any IT experience as my diploma was not releated. Is there any certification or courses that I can take to help me get into the it industry so that I can get some experience while studying?
Interested in desktop support/technician role helping to build and fix pc

How many years program is that? Isn't SUSS going to prepare you to work in the IT industry?

It's a part time degree. Trying to find an it releated job before finishing my studies, so was thinking if taking any certification is useful to get in first as I will have 2-3 more years before graduate

IT is very wide field... it is like telling people that you want to buy something from supermarkets... criteria is anything that you can buy... the question is what thing? Even if it is available, is it suitable for you? Or can you cope or not?

Hi. Thanks for the advice, I wanted to start from desktop support, building and fixing pc More of the hardware part, only know that COMPTIA A+ will be useful for it since other cert is more for cybersecurity and network if I am not wrong?

Search for "Information Technology" or related terms in mycarreersfuture website. It should give you some ideas the type of jobs available in the IT job market.

Try to think ahead. After PC support, what would you like to do next? Is PC support the only way to get there?

If you only like hardware related jobs, would manufacturing / engineering jobs be OK too? Speak to a Career Coach in E2i and find out the prospects in those industries too.
