Changing money for Myanmar

I am visiting Yangon for the first time later this month. I will backpacking on my own.

Anyone know where is the best place to change money for the best rates?

Recommendations for hotels or sights will be appreciated too.

Rates in sg are terrible.

i thought airport sure to give worst rates? maybe can change a little first and then go somewhere else to change?

Btw, roughly how much per day for single traveller for just food and accommodations? thks!

yangon airport rate is not bad.

dont think any money changer here carry kyat.

if you are bringing USD over. please bring crispy clean ones.. they dont accept dirty USD.

Yes. Clean and no markings on the notes. Suggest that you do bring small notes in case they do not give you back any change. They are very anal about such things. Major city will still accept USD. Some time small towns, better to have kyat.
