Hello folks,

Could you list charlet type accommodations over water like Berjaya Langkawi?

Looking for some this type of accommodation near water but within budget/reasonable price and not far away from Singapore - no more 2h flight. Heck, I do not even need aircon inside, a insects net would work fine. Do not want to pay more than $120 per night.

If you have stayed somewhere similar type accommodation, could please share your thoughts/impressions?

Thanks.

The Legend Water Chalet and Lexis Port Dickson, but these won't be in 2 hours. There's also Kukup. 2h drive.

Aha, thank you very much. Regarding Kukup - Kukup Xiang Holiday Home - is this the only place to stay there? Also, how one can get there by bus?

There are several, most of which are not found on the internet. Here is a simple listing.

Yes, the information on public buses is up to date. Several family-run chalets put up tourist information on the web which are relevant.

The Jurong East route is the one I recommend if you intend to go as far as you can with public buses. If you opt for taxis at some point, the blue ones go by the meter by default whereas in the case of the red ones, they usually expect negotiation. By taxi or bus, you will always have to pass through Pekan Nanas town. From there to the coastal town of Pontian, there is only one route via a single carriageway. At Pontian, the taxi takes a left turn southwards to Kukup, while by bus, you have to transfer to the only service that goes to Kukup.
