Hi guys, i recently changed my com and I am thinking of getting a new casing to house it. Right now using my ancient coolermaster cm690. Any recommendations for nice and good casing? I have 2 options in mind but am willing to see if there are better alternatives!

I am looking at
1) Corsair Graphite 760T Black or
2) NZXT H440 Black

Prefer option 1 because option 2 does not allow for dvd drive! Would appreciate if there are any more suggestions for casings! Thanks in advance. haha

IMHO

dvd drive also getting unnecessary nowadays and just take
ppl getting USB dvd drives now

and if you use the DVD drive rarely, you can even ghetto rig your dvd drive outside of case with long sata and power cables
or leave it at bottom of case/on the PSU

and when you got cash to spare, make the jump to USB DVD drives

when skylake or cannonlake (basically when those systems are cheap) i'll be jumping to usb DVD... or earlier if i get NUC for family to use

you need to check which cable can do that...which usually are more expensive or come with a powerbrick
my USB to sata cable can only work with SSD

then again it was the cheapest

just giving TS ideas that arent common :s13:

Ditch the DVD lah.
Not like it's going to be used all the time. USB based is sufficient.

Considered Corsair cube casings?

i suppose if u use yr case long, can go for more expensive ones as it's a long term investment.

dvd is really irrelevant. u can use the 5.25 bays for things like fan controls or store hdd ssd so u have more cooling options below.

it's all a personal preference cos some prefer the neat look, like h440 while some like the front to be filled with things

but gotta admit nzxt cases have very cool designs.

refer youtube too for reviews. here's one on 760t

I am using Corsair 750D without the DVD drive because I just want the clean look on the front.

Nowadays a USB dvd drive cost less than $50. :D
