Chassis, Rams recommendations for Ryzen Setup.

Hey guys,

I purchased an AMD Ryzen 1700 and paired it with a ASUS PRIME X370 PRO board. I'm looking to get a chassis that can fit a Noctua NH-D15 cooler and need ram recommendations as I heard there are compatibility issues with certain brands. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Ram best to look at the motherboard's QVL.

G Skill Ripjaws V 2400mhz are good since Ryzen CPUs like fast rams and also you can go up to 64GB at 2400mhz.

Recommend you find a specific RAM SKU that uses single rank Samsung B-die.

It's not a guarantee of a certain level of performance, but based on what the enthusiast community has observed, the odds are better.

Of course, once you've identified a particular SKU, cross-check with your mobo's QVL.

Noctua D15 with ram with high heatsink dont well together... User of Noctua D15 here.

check your the clearance for d15 on R5. Its going to a tight fit. Full tower is a better option. R5 is a mid tower chassis

R5 should fit as its basically a more expensive version of define s

Went to check out reviews, seem like majority favor the R5 over H440 though and H440 pretty old, review dating 2014.

If you don't need that many hard disk slot from the chassis, Fractal Design Define C is great tbh.

D-15 cooler can fit the r5 case. I am using it.

But the ram u need low profile ones. Please take note

Get 2400mhz ram. Most will work with it now with the latest bios.
