Cheap and efficient copier

Hi everyone, I need some help for printer recommendation. I am looking for a very efficient copier mainly use by family to photocopy school assignment for kids.

So usage is high and no need colour. Currently I have Canon MG7170 and my wife use this to photocopy, the ink ran out very fast and it is so expensive.

I was looking at review and notice Fuji Xerox monochrome printer M115W. I WONDER IF THE INK run out very fast, can someone help? thanks

That's a laser printer. No ink, toner.

Based on the specs, the page yield is approx 1000 pages.

Declared yield in accordance with ISO/IEC 19752. Yield will vary based on image area coverage and print mode.

With this you should be able to estimate how long it will last you. If you print stuff with higher coverage, expect fewer pages.

The Canon is an ink-jet printer and usage costs will be high. The Fuji Xerox is a laser printer and definitely cheaper to run than an ink-jet printer.

You might want to look for a AIO laser printer that has readily available third party cartridges to save on usage costs.

Than the feedback. Can you help to recommend one please - does this Fuji Xerox has ready 3rd party cartridge??

I didn't see any for this Fuji Xerox.

Third party toners are definitely cheaper. There are varying quality standards though. Some are as good as the original and some are bad.

You can check out www.inkbow.com which is a local site supplying replacement toners. On the left is a list of printers for which they have cartridges. You can google the printer names to check the specs and see which is suitable for you.

Off-hand, I do not have any particular multi-function printer in mind. Perhaps you can check with other people on this forum.
