hi, I got the last unit for the price $229. The good news is that the next shipment should be next Wed or Thurs. The not so good news is that I am still sorting out with the seller on the charger voltage. All the websites seem to indicate that it should be 9V, 2A but I got one that is 5V, 2A. And predictably, it can't charge my unit.

However, so far, the seller has been very responsive to my issue, and promises to fix this within these 2 days. It would have been faster if I can go down to their office, but unfortunately I am rather busy during and after work.

Anyway, I would appreciate if other owners of the Novo 8 can let me know what is the voltage on your charger as the seller is not so sure.

Btw, during the short time while the unit has power, I was impressed by the display resolution. Now... if only the expected battery life is not so bad, it would have been a great mobile device.

can't help much...though i started the trend of this Novo 8....& introduce many to this seller
i'm sure the seller is surprised by the influx of orders...

That's ok. My charger was swapped with the correct 9V,2A and it is charging my unit. Overall, I don't blame the seller and is satisfied with the level of service offered.

Unfortunately, he also mentioned that the next batch may not have the same pricing due to increase in costs. There was no actual mention of the new price though. My guess is that it will be competitive to the other sellers.

Oh, did I mention the display of the Novo8 is great

FYI, specification may sound good but actual concern is how well the android system is calibrate with the hardware... we are using Android 2.3

Battery life tested with movie playback about 2 hours ++ but just use with surfing net with wifi on, we tested until 3 hours and never go on surfing as really do not know what to surf any more lolx...

Good grade LCD screen, when look at different angle it is clear..

price at the moment is $299 (pre-order) as we only have demo unit the moment.

factory end say price may go up due to component shortage so price may increase on the actual shipment...TBC

Demo is only available at suntec, (wednesday closed), 2 to 3pm lunch ...look for the pretty lady there and ask for it to play as she is always playing with it most of the time..

oh ya, the screen is similar to iphone, good grade capacitive screen.

already tested flash 10.3 and it works, not choppy or lag......so far so good, 99% software works except china android market...

most resources intense 3d racing game, asphalt5 also works good....

Xinmsn at the moment do not work because android cannot install silverlight..

guys, if you have any softwares that want us to test, let us know and we will test it out and let you know the result..

Although the processor speed indicate 1.2ghz base on info from the factory. We have use some system software and it indicate near 1ghz. And at most of the time, the speed is running less than 400mhz as it is idling..

Hi pple,

INNOVATIVE has tested most applications and it works great with our DreamPad including latest Flash 10.3 but this is not enough as we want to push our pad to its limit.

If you all have any software/games that cannot run in your android pad, post the title of the software/games here or email us the apk to aloy@innovative-int.com

After received your apk, we will install in our DreamPad and will take a photo of it and if our time permit, we will try do the video and put on youtube.

Cheap Android may not be always bad...

Check out our DreamPad, it can do FULL HD 1080P HDMI out to Projector and TV.

Running your powerpoint and project to hdmi projector is possible now with our DreamPad

But there is some adjustment required and we have feedback to engineer and they are working on it.

ya but wld appreciate basic spec, i believe most of us here r not number whores.

things like built-in GPS? BT? avg weight? cam info (vid chat)? multi-touch but how many pts? cos sum fruit slicing games may need more pts/slices @ any 1 time mah.

Built-in GPS - nope
BT- nope
cam info - 0.3 mega pixels (iphone 4 cam super clear but when come to video calls, blur, anyone know why?)
avg weight : have not weight, think slighty more than my iphone 4

fruit slicing have not try playing with 2 fingers or more , will try lolx..... dunno how many mutlitouch are there...
