Has anyone seen this 9.7" IPS tablet selling in Singapore? It can be bought online for below USD 250, inclusive of shipping charges. But I prefer to buy it locally if the price is right.

Some pictures taken from online shops:

Thanks!

I don't recall seeing it, but when you get make sure it's Aoson. Cause I recall a similar one going by another model name (not sure if it's S10). That one has some parts not working right.

Also U.Zone like trying to drive all prices down, last couple days the rave was RK2918 7" resistive screen for 399RMB, now RK2918 5points 7" capacitive screen for 499RMB (about S$100).

There's also rumors that U9GT2 dropping the price to around 1299 RMB before M19 out, if that's the case M12 will likely drop even more.

Anyway, good luck with your hunt :)

No, just addicted lol It's not hard to find those main interesting ones out to read. Like what interests me now is IPS screen, so every title with IPS screen up on forum I try read. It'll only takes less than 1min, but can packed quite a bit of stuffs. There aren't too many topics on 9.7" IPS screen to start with lol

So since M12/M12 clone/U9GT2/M19/S12 all IPS 9.7 screen, it's kinda easy to be updated. It's like selective readings in Exam time.

U.Zone ones is hard to missed as you'll see 2-3 same/similar topics by different people within an hour:s13: So all in all maybe I spent 20-30mins of free time to get those info above.

No I'm just a product of Singapore education system:s13: Not really a fan (of anything), just like to keep my mind occupied with new things. Maybe a couple weeks I'll just moved onto something new=:p

Check out post #751 of this thread. Someone bought the 7A for $189 at Sim Lim Square, which is 40 bucks cheaper than buying online. Best of all, he got it much earlier than buying online. Is the 7A considered old stocks to be cleared?

Do you know what is my "right" price? Maybe I am willing to pay 50 bucks more for convenience and immediate availability? That may be worth paying the extra.

In any case, don't write off all retailers like this. Some may have very good lobangs, such that their cost price is much, much lower than online prices, which allow them to sell the products cheaper or around the same price as online shops.
, yet still able to earn profits.

Good businessmen get good lobangs, earn big bucks; Poor businessmen just earn less.

一分钱一分货。

BOM (base on materials) has different grade too. The old times at sim lim tower where all the component were hot then, price can very different depends on grade. eg. LED life, button lifespan, switches life span, overcharging circuit for adaptor, etc..

Even for usb drive these days in china, you can get 32gb usb drive at the price of 16gb price. A software is used to create a fake capacity of 32gb but actually 16gb can be use, anything exceed we will see data error. in chinese, they call 升级版

Some evil businessman just sell without testing and bring risk to consumer.

btw my side has been selling a 7inch New Generation China tablet for $99 for some time, taiwan brand processor, Grade A resistive screen, (respond very close to capacitive), even got lan port as well, bright clear screen, wifi, lan port, original android market, simple games possible.

We have a demo unit at SLS, it is ok to try before pre-order.

*warranty not cover locally
*need to pre-order

But for this china tablet will not be entitled for upgrade policy. Only our Dreampad 1+ has 7 days upgrade policy should consumer feel it is not suitable for their needs and can upgrade to DreamPad 2 or even DreamPad 4S

Yup, CM7 Alpha 1 only. Works really well. I have been using WebOS for 3 days and it really really suck!! Except for the multi tasking cards - I find the support and teh rest of the OS rather worst then symbian.

You mistaken what woot bro is refering to again. He's refering to a specific brand/model that's being sold online & locally. Online prices not aways cheaper, sometime local shops can get it cheaper.

Example, if the online shop only get 50 pieces, the shop unlikely can get from factory, so must get from 3rd parties. But if a local shop may have connections with China shop, maybe they bought bulk from factory like 1000 pieces, of cos they can offer cheaper prices.

IIRC, it was on youtube that the Rena3 factory price for 1000 pieces is about US$60, add US$20 for capactitive screen. But selling price when it's out online is about US$180 I think. IF (just an example) local shop can get from factory it's US$80, which means selling at US$160-170 is still cheaper than online shop.

Nothing to do with your tablets, or what you sell, or any other tablets. What his original question was just know if M12 is selling locally.:s8:

Edit: Just to add, current trend is already 7" 5points capacitive screen, running Rockchip RK2918 (able to play 3D games), with wifi and support 3G dongles going for 499 RMB (about S$100). Currently 2 models are U.zone F0C (Coming soon) and Window N50.

Edit: BTW it was mentioned that in China Momo9+ A10 8GB tablet is selling at 599RMB, BUT there seems to be a HK 4GB version selling at 499 (HKD or RMB not sure). They are all 5points capacitive flast panel.

How can anyone be so blur to misunderstand my simple English, over and over again? I can imagine customers confused when asking for price but the blur sales guy replies the product has 3 colours to choose from. Haha... Cow head does not match horse mouth, if you know what I mean. Thanks for explaining, seasoncrystal.

Why advertise lousy resistive tablets here with useless features like a LAN port? Resistive but very close to capacitive? Best smoke bomb of the month! I have a Chery QQ that is very close to a Golf GTi. Haha. Tablets are for portability so why would people wanna be tied to a LAN port? Might as well use a PC?

99 bucks can get better resistive tablets online. But seriously guys don't get these. Capacitive screen is the way to go. The next trend is IPS screen so don't get something so many generations behind.

There was mentioning of evil businessman... yes I'm sure we know who's that.
