There's no way to do that directly. SRS funds may only be used for particular, SRS-qualified investments. U.S. and U.K. listed ETFs are not available.

Currently the best indirect way to do that is via one of Lion Global's unit trusts (which in turn invests in global funds), purchased through a zero fee platform that handles SRS funds and that does not charge a custodial fee, such as POEMS or dollarDex. For example, the Infinity Global Stock Index Fund SGD Class, a unit trust, is basically equivalent to VWRD (Vanguard's Irish domiciled/London traded global stock index ETF), albeit with Lion Global's management fee added on top of Vanguard's.

Is this same as IWDA?

Very roughly, it's IWDA + small allocation to emerging markets + GIANT slug of fees.

If you want to buy IWDA, just buy IWDA in your regular brokerage account, it's a lot cheaper.
So what's your suggestion to buy using SRS?

Would like to crowd-source info regarding which brokers support SRS investment for the following:
1. Cheapest brokers for one-time purchase of SGX-listed ETFs (i.e. lowest min and/or % commissions)?
2. Which brokers support SRS for monthly RSP/DCA for ETFs?

It seems SRS not supported for foreign-listed ETFs. I also note that most (if not all) of the custodian brokers or cash-upfront/pre-funded accounts do not support ETF purchase using SRS funds.

Been looking around as well

1. Should be standard minimum broker fee, $25 and respective %
2. OCBC BCIP

I linked to FSM, the min brokerage fee is $10 to SGX traded stocks.

I don't think SRS can link to Interactive broker for reading US UK stocks yet..

The cheapest way equivalent of getting a IWDA exposure will be to do it through endowus, getting the dimensional global equity core fund (developed world large cap exposure) at 0.3% p.a. cost with endowus cost of 0.4%.

If you want to do it through dollardex, for the infinity global stock index fund, the all-in cost is the Total expense ratio plus the ongoing charges that is paid by the sub-fund to the vanguard fund, making it 0.76% + 0.18% = 0.94%.

That is actually quite expensive.

In terms of fund costs, yes, completely agree.

It may be worth noting for some though that Dimensional funds are usually tilted to value, so the stocks inside may be different from IWDA. I don't know the exact details, but I would expect Lion Global to mirror IWDA more closely than Dimensional Funds. (But yes, the costs for Lion Global are higher.)

Cheapest option to invest into SGX-listed ETFs is now FSMone - been using it for SRS since they launch it in 2020. Min $10 with 0.08% commission.

RSP/DCA for SRS only OCBC-BCIP. They have 4 ETFs now - NIkko STI, Nikko Corp, Lion S-REIT and Lion Hang Seng TECH ETF.

If one is to buy STI ETF using SRS through OCBC BCIP and also directly through FSMone, will he be able to sell the FSMone SRS-bought STI ETF through OCBC BCIP or any other broker?

Since both methods, the etf will be stored at the same SRS account (eg. OCBC SRS account)

Hi there,

You will need to sell the ETF's through the respective broker you purchased the ETF’s from. Hope this clarifies.

Thanks OCBC. Noted that if I bought es3 using srs through broker A (eg. Fsmome) , I’m unable to sell them through broker B (eg. OCBC securities). This is the regardless of the fact that the es3 bought can be seen in my OCBC srs account.
