As per topic.
Currently running my 10-year-old machine without any chassis but will most likely be opting for a Threadripper 2 or dual Xeon Silver rig by end of year of mid next year. So eATX is a requirement.
Don't need a full tower though. It's going to be a compute-centric system so there will be little add-on parts installed. The only add-ons I plan to install are a PCI-e WiFi card and an entry-level GPU just for displaying the desktop GUI, which should have no problem fitting inside a mid-tower.
Will be used mainly for building Linux applications from source and as an overpowered desktop PC so smaller is better since my desk is quite space limited.
