cheapest phone plan for oldies?

My parents are on the Starhub 4G4 plan currently (the $70 plan), paired with the free TPG/Circles Life sim. As they have minimal usage (under 30m call and under 200mb data) BUT would like to retain their Starhub number, which will be the cheapest plan (from any telco) for them to do so?

Both TPG and Circles don't allow porting unless I upgrade to the $28 plan. Prepaid plans also don't seem to allow retention of old numbers.

Circles Life $0 plan. It allows porting in after you sign up.

Circles allow one time porting over from other telcos for their Flexi plan ($0).

Unless you've done FMNP before, it should be able to be done in their app.

Actually no. Only SingTel and M1 allows. MVNOs all don't have, so do StarHub.

Pretty stable, using the zero dollar plan on my backup phone (iPhone 6S) for about six months.

They are M1 virtual Telco. So if you are ok with M1, then you will be fine with Circles life. One word of precaution is they basically don't have any call center on voice. Everything is via web or email. Also, their SIM card do not support setting pin. Don't set it else the sim card will become unusable.
(Don't lost phone/sim card as sim card cannot have pin protection).

Prepaid port to prepaid, postpaid port to postpaid. Convert your prepaid to postpaid with the same telco and then port over to postpaid on another telco. But postpaid cannot convert to prepaid.

Can also consider Zero1 (on SingTel infrastructure), cheapest plan is $9.90 for 6 months thereafter is $13.90.

SingTel Prepaid -> SingTel Postpaid (SIM-Only no contract) -> Circles Postpaid.

The upfront cost will be quite chor tbh. SingTel will charge $48.15 SIM & Reg charge + $20 SIM Only plan subscription for one month.

Circles if don't have the line alr still need pay $50 for Flexi plan upfront.

Maybe this can work out, not sure if M1 will allow or not.

SingTel Prepaid -> M1 Prepaid ($5/15 M Card) -> M1 Postpaid mySIM 3 20 (no contract - $20/mth) -> Circles Flexi ($50 upfront)

As of now, M1 waived off the SIM Card and Registration charges for mySIM plans.

So you can save up to $43.15 if manage to get the $5 M Card (M1 Shop?)
