Before Covid, Frankfurt airport for those collaboration with Rimowa. Model wise is subjective, go for their signature design if it is your first piece.
Now maybe is much easy as less China tourists allowed to travel.

Yes. In fact, Porsche also collaborated with Rimowa and can be purchased locally.
My friend helped me to buy a 31" Ti from Germany, it costs half price in Singapore. Remember it was around $2400+ in Singapore but again, that was pre-covid. During that period, it was quite messy as many PRC tourists just grabbed, paid and threw the paper box outside the shop.

omg are you serious? what size is that?

he got that checking in.
A word of caution, the wheels not cover by warranty. They break like 3 times already.

his feeling is those bags handlers saw remowa and they intentionally throw it harder than any bags.

I have 3 Rimowas , 1 Salsa and 2 Ti .. The wheels break because users don't know how to use it .. seriously

one of my Ti is a drag type luggage.. ie 2 wheels rolling on the floor and you drag it along .
the other 2 are standup types that you push along..

And everytime I see someone complain about breaking their wheels .. it was a 4 wheel standup type being dragged on 2 wheels.

Basically the cheapest Rimowa you can get is Germany,. not just Frankfurt.

Warranty is now 5 years compared to previous lifetime warranty.
They are internationally recognised .. so those bought in Germany can be warrantied in any country. I have claimed twice for my Salsa (suggestion not worth going for polycarbonate Rimowa) locally with the most recent one (2 years ago) they gave me a completely new luggage

I wouldn’t get rimowa for checkin luggage. Cabin makes sense, check in just use a cheap samsonite or something. Not like you can even see the luggage most of the time.

Yes it can be true he claimed that .. but as I mentioned .. the way we use the luggage determines how long it will last. My main checkin luggage is a rimowa and I've used it for more than 10 years, never had issues with wheels but I cracked the casing because stupid me sat on it while waiting for people.

I'm also not sure why he claimed wheels are not warrantied (maybe they aren't) .. but I have asked for replacement wheels just in case (yes ..because of horror stories from people) and they gave it to me FoC ! I still have them lying somewhere in the store lol and I can't use it anymore since I changed my Rimowa to a newer model

do you have any experience with the trunk plus? thinking to get that size and a slightly smaller one.

you mention you asked for replacement wheels, is this when you purchase them?

Rimowa wheels quite crappy. Can disintegrate by itself if you haven't travel for 2 years due to Covid. Dropping bits and pieces.
****h leh i also recently discovered the rubber on the wheels are slowly disintergrating. the rubber layer is like softening and melting off. if i push my fingernail into it, it can easily have this cut line...

no wonder it was so noisy and so difficult to push around, and the pebbles on the road keep getting stuck to the wheels.
