Check Graphics Card For Laptop!

May I know any special method to check the type of graphics card use in laptop?

My laptop have Nvidia GT63OM 2GB VRAM, when I try type dxdiag & when I click display it does not show Nvidia GT63OM 2GB VRAM. Instead it show Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000. Could it be the reason that graphics card being lost when change of motherboard?

Go to your device manager and check. DXdiag only shows the integrated graphics

But some laptop able to show the Nvidia GT63OM immediately ?

If they show gt630m on dxdiag...it means that that particular laptop does not use nvidia optimus tech.

Not sure about Win 8, but normally if you right click on your desktop, you should be able to bring up options like change screen resolution and such. If an Nvidia card is present in your laptop, there should also be an option to launch Nvidia control panel. At the bottom left of the control panel, there will be a system information, which will identify the Nvidia card.

Right click My Computer > Properties > Device Manager > Display Adapters. It will show you what cards are present in your system. Intel HD, Nvidia etc...
