Depdning on the airline...
for scoot, reach at least 1hr before departure time.
for jetstar is 45min...

normally counter would open 2.5hrs to 3hrs in advance ...

i tend not shop when i'm departing from SG airport, cuz i wanna travel light. and when i'm at overseas airports, coming back to SG, usually i find the items overpriced. I only whack the dutyfree booze at Changi when on the way home.

Changi Airport - 2 hours before. 1 hour before if you damn sure you can reach the gate in time, inclusive of queueing time.

Overseas - see where lo. Efficient airports 2 hours should be good enough. Others better plan properly.

Early check-in may incur extra fees, check with your airline and if the airport allows.

Just a second, is it possible to come and collect when not coming back directly to Changi but coming to Singapore?

Example, flight leaves from Singapore to Jogjakarta, but come back thru Johor. can one after that go to Chanigi and collect the purchases?

I don't think so as DFS is inside transit area. You can call and ask. Maybe can transfer to orchard store.

Sent from my Samsung 4K HDTV in Batam using GAGT

I always check in 3hrs before, the timing just nice they open for check in. Took scoot, airasia, tiger air. I feel relaxing just to walk walk and eat then slowly make my way to the gate.

For airlines and airports I travelled frequently with only hand carry, 60 to 90 minutes. For unfamiliar airports and travelling with luggages, 2 to 3 hours before departure.

you buy from t1, you collect from t1 when u fly back ...
you must show them the receipt and the document ...
the collection point is after the immigration custom ...
so you have to fly back into changi to collect ...
