Qn:

- Are there any shops in SLS that still build the PC for you free ?
- Any comments on the parts list ?
- Any SLS shop to recommend or avoid ?

Go for MSI or Asrock B85 boards to save more money.

Samsung non-pro series not worth it. Might as well go with Plextor M5S 256GB.

PSU, put ur money in Seasonic M series 520W. Think it's around $90+.

Other than that, no other comments.

My counter proposal since you want an ATX board and with H chipset then this would be as per follow

Not sure why your build dont include HDD. If you wanna intend to use the SSD for storage and everything please reconsider the lifespan issues.

And i believe the 7950 is not priced at $355. Its suppose to be $445. And it is not worth it.

- Why would i pay more for the Shakoon and Seasonic bundle ?

- ASRock is more realiable than Gigabyte ? How is the RMA/Warranty like ?

- I already have two 1 TB drive, 1 of them is a WD blue which is still sealed

- Is plextor reliable ? Chipset is the latest ? How is the RMA/Warranty like ?

- What is so great about GSkill to pay $5 more ?

U go read the reviews. Samsung non-pro series is bad.

Haswell ready is just a marketing gimmick to a certain extend. Do u know the reason behind "Haswell ready" n what it means to be "Haswell ready"?

Fyi, Seasonic is the leader in psu now. Many people will actually avoid n dont recommend CM psu. Go google more reviews instead of looking at marketing ploys / brands.

Gigabyte mobo. Their last series mobos have quite a bit of problem after a period of usage. Haswell series I not sure.

However, MSI has grown pretty good in their mobos in recent years n quite decent / value for $$$. Asrock is cheap n stable too.

sometimes wat we prefer is not what that is good in the market. but its still up to you to decide since after all it is ur money that u will be spending.

i think they also can just take a normal psu and just print on the Haswell ready.

plextor is pretty good. I am using the m5pro on my laptop. so far no problem.

Imo get a better chassis. The K282 only comes with 2 fan. The HDD enclosure unable to remove. So the max support of a gfx card is up to max 315mm. Where high end gfx card can go to almost 380mm.

Secondly, the sharkoon t28 comes with 3 silent fans. Unlike the k282 they are using the xtraflow fans. Very noisy.

Lastly, get a good chassis, it last you a lifetime. Unless you damaged it.

I believe that the pricing on Bizgram is stated wrongly. How can a 7870 is more ex than the 7950. The price list dont tally at all.

Go read this thread about Asrock and see how it fairs. Imo it is a best bang for bucks.

Even MSI mobos imo they are also best values out there. Unlike Gigabyte and Asus. Premium pricing especially Asus. Well if you have money you can go for highest branding.

Ok removed the HDD recommendations. Plextor m5s is one of the closest $1/1gb you could get. If you really want the pro series can get the Plextor m5P $149 at tradepac. Best deal already at just $10 more.

Im not sure where you get this pricing from.

Lastly. If you are comparing everything from different shops then i can tell you they wont charge you according to the pricelist. Price list states mostly bundled pricing. And i believe that the price list for bizgram is bundled deal. Meaning build a full rig and it will give you that price.

prepared my list of where is the cheapest part possible. from singapore seller and buy every single parts from them. they will give you better discount. my comp cost 1763+ they jack it down to 1650 with free build.

i bargained really hard though. and they still earn a lot i reckon.

i want to hantam even further by comparing it with Indian store but they refused to compare their parts with Indian store price saying they offer longer 30 days warranty 1to1 exchange whilst Indian store only offer 7 days 1to1

they won't compare with tradepac. cause tradepac has their ways.

and by buying all from 1 store it is possible to get more discounts. Cause buyer have more bargaining power.

Wah which store? Wish I got the golden tongue for bargaining . Last time I bought my rig, managed to lower the cost by 'only' $30 w/ free build. But then again..total was like $900, probably the more expensive rig, the more discount?

$100 discount is not difficult for a 1.5k setup. Even tradepac can do that lol.

I am tempted to go for Sharkoon mATX casing (M120/M140) as well as the ASRock H87M Pro4 Card. The Sharkoon casing accommodates up to 36 CM for graphics card and the gigabyte card dimensions are H=38 mm, L=285 mm, W=126 mm. So it should be ok.

Anyone experience cooling problems when gaming esp w/o aircon ? I don't intend to overclock the GPU or CPU or have 2 GPUs in the future.

You must know how to bargain from them. The price stated are all list pricing. So just open your mouth to bargain further.

M140 ? was thinking M120 because i reckon 2 x 120mm is better than 1 x 140mm fans.

Primary reason for mATX is small size, so as long as it has no overheating issues, i would prefer the smaller casing.
