45% consider win?
I say no parliament seat = lose. Waste time waste money waste effort still can't get seat.![]()
Regardless of him winning a seat or not, he had already won.
He had won by changing the doubtful perception of him. May not be the majority but the thousands of people who were touched by him. It takes time for words to spread. It would certainly be better in the next coming GE.
He had won by changing the perception of SDP. WP is now not viewed as the only credible opposition party. May better individual join them in future to come, which they truly need in higher numbers.
He had won when he still stood firm to his ideals and roots despite the crushing condemnation and lawsuits dealt upon him. Others would had fled as a political refugee and continue living well considering the qualification both him and his wife have.
Ultimately, he had won considering the supportive family he has and kids he raised despite the obstacles he had to climb. This is a stark contrast to other politician families that are mollycoddled to the extent of telling those deemed beneath her to get out of her elite uncaring face.
