Be fair, no matter what car you drove in this accident the result would be the same.

Frankly speaking, with such high COE, most people who are willing to spend $80k+ for a car will rather top up abit to get the Korean/Japanese cars which are widely thought to be more reliable.

China cars such as chery use lower tensile strength steels on their chassis, thereby contributing to higher chance for it to get crumpled in an accident. This is actually an advantage in an accident. A not at fault accident with this car allows you to get higher payout and makes a police report claiming injury more believable and also easier to get more than 2 days MC.

I myself own a Chery T11 1.6M...

bought it 2nd hand last yr at 30k and can use for another 6 yrs... very very cheap deal n straightaway take it...

Dun expect too much from it... I drove a Kia Rio and a Proton Gen2 prsly and my prvs cars have better build quality than it...

Thank god the car didnt give me any problems (yet, fingers crossed)... I guess when buying chinese car... its more of a luck... If u get lemon then suay...

Metal, soft.. have to say that... can dent easily...
Interior plastics came in light colour like beige so it becomes dull or yellowish which is wierd... coz my prvs Kia Rio also have similar interior colour but never fades even after 9 yrs...

I knew most Chery cars' chassis are tuned by lotus... but the handling aint great... its an SUV so can feel body roll ah....
Fuel consumption is great, i have to say...
Whole car damn heavy... 1.6L not enough...

A few small problems i faced:
- Dent easily
- Clutch doesnt go up... (this happens to my Kia Rio but thats only on the 9th yr... This happens to my Chery after 4 yrs of usage)
- Gear damn hard to move (go bleeding)
- Sunroof now doesnt work... After i took over this car, i only used the sunroof like 2 times
