The signage are easier to follow and depending on the season, the bay can get over crowded. What time is your bus though? Just make sure there is enough time between airport to mochit. Evening time the jam can be crazy.

Today, Sunday 14 Dec, touchdown 7.05pm at DM Airport. Intending to take VIP coach from Transport Co Ltd at Mo Chit, departure time 9pm.

If the plane is late in landing, I'm done for, have to spend a night in BKK. ---> no point doing advance booking, lose the money for 2 tickets.

If the plane lands on time, but immigration at DM takes forever and/or jammy traffic to Mo Chit and/or precious time lost in finding bus bay, I'm done for, also have to spend a night in BKK.----> no point doing advance booking, lose the money for 2 tickets.

If all the stars are well aligned and we reach Mo Chit in time -----> advance booking is useful to avoid any "no vacant" or "single" seat disappointment. However, I noticed over the past 2 nights that seats are always available, VIP seats quite a lot, First Class seats abundant.

What's your view? Are we cutting it too thin or given it's a Sunday, doable.

Rental of motorbike, I did it wit a photocopy of my passport which was returned to me at end of rental. Some shops will insist physical passport, do ask around since there are so many rental shops around.

For car rental, I foreseen a problem for parking overnight since u are staying at IMM. There is a basement car park, but pray hard it is not full when u return. Also find it not practical to drive around old town and to nearby night market etc, only for longer distance to remote area.

My 2bahts :)

Yo, Beno777, my resource person when I wanted to go Amphawa last December!! Thanks for the tips! Nah, ain't just worth 2bahts, I'll throw in a packet of MaeWaree Mango Sticky Rice, and then some!! :s13: Cheers, good bro!!

The timing is tight. You will have to add +/- on arrival time. Time to clear imm, and get luggage and taxi queue. Needless to say, most of the buses depart at around that time.
