I lived in Chiang Rai before, these are the popular places I recommend!
Tea farm: Choui Fong Tea Co
Park: Singha Park
Food: Chivit Thamma Da Coffee House, Bistro & Bar, Melt In Your Mouth Chiang Rai
Shopping: Central Plaza, BigC, Chiang Rai Night Market

lots of hidden resorts in chiang rai that are nice & affordable, you can just check them out on agoda or tripadvisor :)

maybe take a visit to the tea plantations as well if you're interested?

I am back!!! Thanks for the recommendations above, I managed to visit almost all during my short 4 days stay. But I didnt manage to go Phu Chi Fa. Abit regret but nvm save for next time.

I went to Khun Korn waterfall which not mentioned above. A short trek of 1400m brought me to the highest waterfall in chiang rai. I would recommend this place.

Got quote for the same day trip ranging from 900bahts to 1000bahts. But i find it too rush to cover so many places in a day thus didnt join

Direct too expensive for me so I transit at bkk. Flew Nok air to chiang rai from DMK around S$120 both ways.

yes, direct is ex. was considering chiang rai too. guess this flight route is not that popular yet, as least from sg.
