Chicago recommendations

I will be stopping by Chicago for 2 full days in May, and haven't been there before.

Has anyone have any recommendations on what to do and eat there?

Not a NBA fan, so probably not gonna watch matches...

Was thinking whether the premium outlet is worth a look, but it will be a full day trip by itself already

Do u drive? Outlet is like 1 hr away from downtown.
U haver to try Chicago deep dish pizza.
There are nice steak house there, all depends what u wanna eat.

U can do the usual visit museum, check out navy pier or go up sears tower or John Hancock.

There is a new waterfront park which is not bad.
The art museum is quite good if u like museums.
Aquarium isnt bad too.

Chicago is also famous for their pizza and steaks
There are quite a few steakhouses depending on your budget.
Remember to factor in tax and tips.

Shopping wise, not really worth going to outlets i feel.

There is a nice kade spade, my sibling bought like 6-8 bags there. There is new Salvatore Ferragamo store.

Chicago is my favourite US city!

For visiting, may I suggest you get the Chicago City Pass. It saves you a lot of moolah. I used it to visit the Field Museum, Science and Industry Museum, Adler Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium and the Ledge up on Willis Tower (you can go to the observatory at John Hancock instead). I did all in two days.

Other than that, you can choose to take a boat ride along the river. I never did it but I see a lot of tourists do that. When I am in town with time to kill, I just basically walk down Michigan Avenue, head south towards the loop and enjoy the architecture in the city. Oh yes, you can google the filming locations of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and the latest Transformers installation in Chicago and go check them out.

Deep dish pizza. Die die must try. The good ones would be Giordanos and Gino East. If you just need to refuel in the afternoon, you can try out M Burger. A few outlets here and there. Not too bad. Also, if you are a meat lover, go to Lawry or Mortens. They do have lunch specials. Definitely cheaper than in Singapore.

Usual tourist attractions... Millennium Park, Cloud Gate, Willis Tower, John Hancock tower, Michigan Avenue, Navy Pier, the museums I mentioned.
