Now selling Hari Raya goodies, I see plenty of crispy tapioca chips on offer in supermarkets.

Fair price house brand, original and spicy, both types are crispy, 2 packs (300g per pack) $7.50.

Sheng Siong Happy Family brand, original and spicy, both types are crispy, 1 plastic bottle 400g $4.95.

Max's Farm cassava chips, original and spicy, both types are crispy, 150g per pack, Sheng Siong 2 packs for $3.60.

The Houten one not bad but dun eat too much.
Yes that is what I ate when i was young.
Looking for something different, less commercialized and perhaps more homemade if possible, provided its good.

Houten was the undisputed king for chilli chewy version. Camel cannot fight at all. But recently Glory come up with an equivalent version comparable to Houten. Meanwhile Houten QC drop a lot, sometimes is nice, sometimes is fvcking dry and almost like stale. Buy houten cannot buy online, must personally select those packets where the contents feel like one tough lump. If the contents scatter easily when you press it, then is crap, don't buy.

Any well know ones for Chilli tapioca chips?

About 30 plus years ago had some from a malay friend which he said bought from shop which is home made. but I never ask then and lost contact already.

It was fantastic and very spicy.
I like Kracker King in SG. Bought from SS.
