I think the question should be,depends how much the crew is paid. if pay your son $10/hr, u will ask ur son go risk life and put out the fire?
I think the question should be,
"Your son is told the job pays $10/hr, his role, if there is a fire, is to take the fire extinguisher and run towards it and put out the flames as best he can. If your son is not willing to take the risk for $10/hr, then perhaps don't accept the job?".
If your house is on fire, is it ok if the SCDF firefighter says he's not risking his life for $3000/mth by running into your house to save the occupants?
Everyone has a choice.
If the pay does not justify the risk, then the event organisers will be left with zero manpower so either increase the pay or abandon the race.
that why the outsourced safety crew also stand one side deI wouldn't risk my life for just 60 RMB.
But then again, I shouldn't have signed up for the job if I wasn't ready to take the risk.
My guess is lack of training and didn't clearly define roles, establish SOPs.depends what role was convey to him when they pay him 60rmb for whole day. if it is clear he need to take extinguisher and put out the flames, then he need to risk his life. but i wont ask my son to do that job in the first place.
probably the organiser should engage professional to standby. not part timers. My guess is lack of training and didn't clearly define roles, establish SOPs.
I've seen a few races where the officials ran towards the fire but fumble around with the fire extinguisher like they don't know how to use it.
When you say the safety crew, I think they were each given a safety crew shirt and that's about it.that why the outsourced safety crew also stand one side de![]()

Main con take cut and outsourced. Then the outsourced company take another cut and outsourced againWhen you say the safety crew, I think they were each given a safety crew shirt and that's about it.
Even our Formula one volunteer track officials have to go through a theory and practical fire training, how to use a fire extinguisher, from which direction to approach a vehicle on fire.
A lot of people don't realise race cars use race fuel and when it burns, the flames can be invisible.
Btw Singapore F1 volunteer track officials aren't paid. Hence why they are called volunteer track officials.
I'm not saying the people in China shouldn't be paid. Whether it's voluntary or paid, you should know what you are getting yourself into and you're expected to do your job because everyone's lives are at risk.

1 hr 60 rmb? dream on loli go read and many people say the safety crew is outsourced one. but dunno is one day 60rmb or 1hrs 60rmb![]()
