I'm thinking of getting a China tablet that can run Android apps and Google Maps using location-based service, thus was looking for one with GPS.
Currently, it seems to me China tablet with GPS are mostly Freelander or Sanei brand.
Wondering if I can buy one w/o built-in GPS then later add a external GPS receiver?
U shld upgrade ROM to 4.2.2, it improve on battery, Android Windows operating system and others... loh
Do your tablets have the battery drain problem?
At most, I feel the acceptable drain overnight should not be more than 10%.
My Mini One was fully charged before I went to bed.
Woke up and it was still fully charged even though I left it on the entire night.
Bluetooth, WiFi was off.
Didn't test the U35GT2.
Was at Challenger, the 7.9in AC Ryan looks like chuwi v88. The built seem quite good, very light and the screen is really good. But the edge along the 4 sides of the tablet is sharp instead of rounded.
I think it is only 1 gb ram and 8gb nand, so that's the downside. Cant comment on battery/wifi/stability.
But must say again the ips screen is very good, overall built acceptable.
The Pipo Max M7 Pro has built-in GPS
PiPo M7 Pro Quad Core RK3188 8.9 inch FHD Screen 1920*1200 Android 4.1 Tablet PC
I was told that Pipo is a Taiwan brand hence the price is a bit higher than Chinese brand tablets. There is also a 3G ver which would be useful for using with Google maps
As for your question about adding an external bluetooth, just make sure yr tablet has bluetooth then u can connect to a bluetooth GPS receiver.
That's how I manage to connect my iPad Wifi-only tablets to my bluetooth GPS.
If u want to be sure that it works, bring your bluetooth GPS receiver along when u buy yr tablet
what price?
dont ever get AC RYAN andriod tablet
