sorry mate, I not able to buy in 100pcs yet so can't sell at $99.. but if $139, I can specially import in for u....

On hand, i have 10.1" stable at $299, 1ghz , 512mb ram, 4gb storage, wifi, RJ45, Build-in GPS, resistive screen, battery life tested can last 4 hours. but some time i only last 2 hours..

For pple who are confuse what to look for in china pad, maybe can popby play play first

btw, what you intend to use your pad for?

hello, i'm looking for a 10" screen something to store and read my pdf piano sheets (main function) and to play the occassional mp3s and videos, wondering is this suitable?

my uncle is going to china soon, so thinking of asking him to buy one back if suitable .. what brands are recommended? thanks! and paiseh about this noob question >.<

just a quick questions...

may i ask what is the main purpose of buying a android pad or even ipad? Or why china pad?

My side maybe dropping the low end 7inch pad and go straight to built-in 3G, capacitive, high speed processor and more ddr ram....

Wanted something light and easy to carry about, read news articles, check email, play some casual games, IM. iPad/iPad2 still on the heavy side, same as the 10" Android tablets released so far.

Build-in 3G may not be necessary if its going to increase cost by a fair bit, and battery consumption suffers. Can always use a MIFI, and more devices can share as well.

For your needs should be easy, even those local chinese version is fine but do ask if can change to english language. China is very big, brands may not be available at the location your uncle is. High chances he may see many without brands (OEM).

i think ipad is very light, think no other pad can beat them unless on a smaller screen and lesser connections ports

For me I just want a tablet to read ebooks and occasionally surf web, play games or watch movies. Did not want to get a tablet bigger than 7inch because it will be too hard to hold with one hand. Have an ipad and ipad 2 which i bought for fun but then don't really like to bring it out as its too bulky. Holding it with one hand while standing in the train or bus also quite difficult.

Hi mate,

Before you popby, i like to share i am using my very short finger nail to navigate as this is not capacitive screen like ipad or iphone. If need capacitive screen, need special order, price unknown.

Warranty 6 months

Promotion ah.. dunno .. depend on boss, but i do hope the cost of this baby goes down so more affordable. But sometime really crazy, some factory will use Japan earth quake as reasons and increase the cost, say shortage of components, flash price increase blar blar..

Android pad not hang! Back button and home button is useful!

just share something i realized while playing angry bird (game) with pad. (Its Android Pad!)

there is no exit button or back icon on the screen, you need to press the real "back" button to go back previous screen until a screen that have exit icon.

should you play your game half way and like to browse net or like to run other application, press the "home" button.

Btw guys/ladies, have anyone here play with the branded android pad (made in china or taiwan but components still china) in sg before?

Do they have the home or back buttons?

Thanks for your advice. I wouldn't have thought of asking them to change to English. He's going to Guangzhou/Zhuhai, will ask him to check around and pick one then. Thanks again ;)

Windows 7 tablet Pad

Hi all,

Think there is android madness for some time here.. actually china pad also has windows 7 version.

Below is my dream windows 7 desktop tablet..but i cannot figure out how to make the desktop look so nice and cool..

WP-1000.jpg

The desktop pic was found on windows 7 beta version

If anyone know how to make the desktop as nice, do pm me.....I have one demo unit at suntec but it look boring..

This tablet is meant for user who want to have full control:
1. battery can take out
2. memory and hard disk can be change without technical experts
3. to have vga port out
4. as many usb port possible
5. no restriction on external 3G dongle as long there is windows 7 drivers

yawn...

Hi Innoviatient,

SInce you are so into the China Pads, thought I share something with you.

Click on the link

http://www.appbrain.com/app/sd-increase/com.sdincrease.it

The free app SD Increase apparently does something to the SD card which speeds it up. I have tried it and if you have already rooted your pad and have installed lots of the apps directly onto the SD card, then this app might help you. I noticed a slightly faster loading time after using this app. Anyways, it is free and you can try it out and see for yourself.

I have attached the writeup below for your reference then you can download from Android Market later if you want:-

This application allows you to make more powerful the using of SD Card. This is changing a parameter in a file system (thus the need of Root access) that manages the size of the cache on the memory card. By default, this value is set to 128 (kb) but it was found that changing this value in 2048 (kb), the performances are optimized, making read-write on our external memory faster. Many thanks to brainmaster, XDA Member that discover this.

Note that if you reboot/turn off your device, you lose the setting that you did, so you can click on the dedicated box to allow this app to set on every boot the value that you choose.

This function may be not work.

Recent changes:
- fixed service
- fixed boot setting
- added icon to the menu
- options avaible now

Content rating: Everyone

Latest version: 1.5 (for all Android versions)
