didn't include my chinese name when booking with Singapore airlines i.e for first name I only put my english name and last name my surname. In my passport machine readable zone it reads as (surname)<<(chinese name)<(english name). So just wondering if anyone here travelled without chinese name and ended up fine? A bit expensive at 50USD just to include my chinese name in the ticket now...
travelling to japan btw, if that makes any difference

Is true I had seen a lot of passengers did not include their chinese name and also Japan is one of the country that immigration need to have your details before you land.

Is your chinese name in the passport?
If no, don't include.
Follow the name in the passport.

Perhaps depends on the airline counter staff whether wanna issue you the ticket.

Also whether the immigration counter staff want to let you go through or not

It is ok. They ask me before why I never put my Chinese name but they will close one eyes one.
