Hi all,

I am advised to get my answers here...
Please kindly share your personal experience, views and recommendations over Chiropractor or TCM. My left neck and shoulder are very tight and causes me to be very uncomfortable. Leads to headache as well. Currently i looking for treatments.

Any recommendations, advice and recommendation are appreciated.

I'm also looking for a good one myself. Most are either scams (spa packages), a front for prostitutes (special services) or gay joints.

tight sounds more muscular than spinal? so chiro is out?
and tcm unless they're good and can diagnose, the massage is just a relief of the symptoms and not the problem?
Are you by any chance left handed?

I agree with choco.. Go look for aldrin.. Two time treatments at most should be fine if it is not severe...

the reason why i suggested you to go find a masseur is because most neck, shoulder and upper back strain are caused by our misalign neck.

try twisting your neck to the extreme left or right, do you feel any strain in your ears, neck, shoulder or back? if so, go for a masseur who can twist and crack your neck.

so far, i haven't met a tcm will really give my neck a good twist. their technique is much more conservative, maybe they don't want to inflict further injury, or they just want to protect their ricebowl.

nope, it's not temporary. once you got your vertebrae back in position, you should be relieved of the pain until you sprained it again. that is why proper stretching, warming up and form are important when we are doing lifting.

i onced got a strain some where between the pelvic and groin when i am squating. did some online research and stretching but the pain goes on for 3 to 4 mths. went to see a tcm near to ICA building, he diagnosed by there was a misaligned at the sacroiliac joint. he just lift my leg up from behind and i heard a crack sound, and immediately the strain was gone till now.

but for neck and shoulder strain, i will still recommend a masseur, as i haven't met any tcm doctor who is good with neck and shoulder problem.

as for massage parlour in sg, i am not sure. cos mine is in jb and she did a great job on my neck and ankle strain.

same theory behind chiro... when the vertebrate is back in position then you will strengthen the surrounding muscles either in normal life or using specific exercises.

Realignment of the joint is good but it also depends if it's chronic or acute.
For eyz it seems to be acute for his hip, but if say its due to the long standing effects of bad posture. The muscles are already short or tight. Realignment won't help as the muscles still would pull it out of place. Something like that haha.
Anyway, if you check uncle chay threads, he did recommend a tuina he said he used before. And it's at the guys house so it should be cheaper.

Mine is definitely chronic then...How come no one recommend TCM one. No good? Cuz i tot can soon bian tiao li my poor health. I might be gg Eu Yan Sang soon despite it debatable worthiness, mainly becuz its very near my place.
