Mine is definitely chronic then...How come no one recommend TCM one. No good? Cuz i tot can soon bian tiao li my poor health. I might be gg Eu Yan Sang soon despite it debatable worthiness, mainly becuz its very near my place.

They have the list of doctors and their specialisation according to branch. Call before hand to check the shifts then request the doctor.
For me it's cause my Chinese isn't too good haha, won't understand whatever they say. Went eys before though, not bad. But expensive. Told the doctor, he wrote the ingredients down for me for next few visits. But it worked.

Not sure whether TS managed to solve his neck/shoulder pain, but I was recommended to a Chinese physician who ONLY works on the neck and back.

I decided to visit him this morning, as I injured my shoulder after some bad golf. When I was there, I was surprised to see quite a no. of our fellow Malay countryman/woman sitting in the waiting room. There is no reception, just only a booklet of foolscap paper for you to write your name for the queue.

When it was my turn, I went into the consultation and Mr. Lee declared he only knows how to 'push' the neck and back, as most of our body pain are caused by these two mparts of our body. He first diagnose my lower back by pressing the spine and measuring the length of my both feet to see whether there is any misalignment. He then procced to twist the body.

He then went to work on my upper spine by press it. Some parts ache when he press hard on it, it was then he claimed that the vertebrae was misaligned. He then give my neck and back a good crack, and my shoulder ache was gone immediately.

I must say he is good at what he does and the fee is cheap, as compared to other TCM, who normally charge 50$. Though the time he spent on you is really very short, what matter most it is effective. The physician speaks English, so anyone who can't speak Mandarin well, can consider looking for him.

Attached is his business card with address. Do note that his clinic is closed on Tue, Thurs and Sun.

Blk 456, amk ave 10, there's a chinese sinseh, very good with tui-na. Perhaps you can try if it's convenient to you. I always go there when there's sprain, shoulder tightness that leads to insomnia, discomforts etc...hope info helps.

Hi dude,

Hope your neck and shoulder are recovered by now.

I was goggling about chiropractic and TCM due to my recurring lower back pain (epic slide and fall when Frisbee) and come to your post .

Are you eventually find a good TCM / Chiropractor, or you have tried both ?

I have tried both tcm and chiro.
tcm so far mainly for my ankle sprains.
chiro I have used for my shoulder and back problems and recently pinch-nerve problem which is really bad but it was fixed by my chiro.
so I believe both have their merits if you get good o

May I know which Chiro you went to?
And how's the charges like?

I've been having neck and shoulder ache for quite sometime.
I went to several TCM for Tuina and sometimes accupunture, but still not recoveringggggg.

nope, it's not temporary. once you got your vertebrae back in position, you should be relieved of the pain until you sprained it again. that is why proper stretching, warming up and form are important when we are doing lifting.

i onced got a strain some where between the pelvic and groin when i am squating. did some online research and stretching but the pain goes on for 3 to 4 mths. went to see a tcm near to ICA building, he diagnosed by there was a misaligned at the sacroiliac joint. he just lift my leg up from behind and i heard a crack sound, and immediately the strain was gone till now.

but for neck and shoulder strain, i will still recommend a masseur, as i haven't met any tcm doctor who is good with neck and shoulder problem.

as for massage parlour in sg, i am not sure. cos mine is in jb and she did a great job on my neck and ankle strain.

Hi eyz,

Can share the tcm near ICA? : )
I had similar problem at the pelvis and groin.....been bothering me since jan! Stretching don't help at all.
Thank you so much.

What are some of the good chiropractics in SG?
Do they require several sessions?

There are good chiros, and bad chiros, just like there are good doctors, and bad doctors. We shouldn't paint everyone in the same profession with the same broad brushstroke.

I refer to Luke Ho at Agape Chiro. He also does soft tissue treatment and does NOT ask you to buy a package of sessions. Like any treatment, if 2 sessions does not result in at least a semi-permanent fix, then go somewhere else. Chiro is great for traumatic injury where things are jammed out of place, like after a car crash. But its not always a good choice for long term chronic pain. Thats usually postural.

Sorry for digging up this thread but I am curious on Chriopractic practices as well. Accompanied my mum to the clinic last weekend for her second session, which was still part of the 2 time trial sessions.
It was my first time there and previously I had not researched on this before so I knew nothing about this.

We were in the room for a short 5-10mins and after cracking in a few different positions, doctor gave some well being advise and I was shocked that the session had ended (knowing that I would be paying $7x for each session thereafter) so simply.

To be honest, I do not know what to expect but to know that I would be paying $7x for a full session, which is only 5-10mins is astounding. Nevertheless, my mum said that she felt good after the session so I went ahead to check out the package that they were offering. It comes up to about 3xxx for 50 sessions and 5xxx for 100.

Currently I am considering between these packages because I understand that there is no guarantee that my mum's condition will improve but I guess I would go ahead with it since she said that it made her felt better.

Before I commit to the package, I read an interesting post on reddit and found this http://chiropractic.org.sg/prepayment-packages.html
I saw a clause that mentions that they cannot actually make the package at more than 12 times
Does this means that there is something wrong with the packages that they are offering?

TLDR - Chiro package for 50/100 times but according to The Chropractic Association, it mentions that packages should not be more than 12?

Can anyone help me to confirm this and advise me if it is okay to go ahead with this?

Thanks!

Wow, I didnt know chiro sells sessions in a package...sound so wrong.
You see a chiro becos you are in pain and once cured, there is no need to see chiro again...why would one sign up a package of 50-100?? Does that indicate that you will not be cured until the packageis finished??
