I guess the question is if an untrained lay person, who is the target consumer,
can even detect an arrhythmia on the ECG.

I have my doubts because there are several doctors, such as some psychiatry/ orthopaedic surgery registrars/consultants who are unable to diagnose it and would call for a medical consult for that.

This type of home use medical equipment which are meant for untrained lay person...

And so they usually comes with AI to interpret the ECG... (Like the Apple watch)

No doubt it is not fool proof and might produce false positive...

But more data is still good for someone at risk (past heart conditions) or with doubts...

Not everyone has the time and resources or will to make frequent visit to the clinic or health check...

Just my 2 cents...



Ps. I was also fooled by ECG... End up it was interference from a handphone... So...
