CHKDSK and HDTune

If the Windows CHKDSK utility can do a disk partition table checks and also surface scan, why do people still use HDTune? :s12:

HDTune is for benchmarking drive speed and performance?

can you check smart with chkdsk?

No. For that I can use CrystalDiskInfo.

Windows WMIC can only provide a OK/Not OK status result without the detailed SMART info. That's the best Windows can do to the best of my knowledge.
