na nus policy is not like ntu, u cannot even chose which hall u wanna stay(not confirm will get)...

i only going in this aug... applied for hall liao but chances of getting in like very slim...

well..if u are more to cultural, join sheares and kr, not saying their sports not good, but they are a more fun hall actually.

if u are a sportsman and sportswomen, temasek or eusoff will be the choice..

if u are neither, raffles, KE, or other resisdences.hehe

my friend is gona appeal to get into NUS, so that means by then the application of hostel is over. If she's able to appeal successfully, will the chances of stayin in hostel be lesser or not at all?

Ahaha just applied for Hall, Sheares my first choice.... not much hope ....
seeing all I have is just a uniform group CCA and some acad competition awards during poly days. Left out piano as did not want to embarass myself lol...
Now all is left is to hope and pray.

what is the typical hall life like? is the experience really worth it or is it overrated? btw, which halls are good and nice? I have been hearing that Kent Ridge is a really fun and new hall is it?

Btw, when will the results for hall application be known?

I'm really keen in experiencing Hall life in NUS; however I heard that our JC CCA records matters a lot in the outcome of our Hall application.

I was just a supportive member of my CCA (bowling) in JC but did not take part in any competition before. Since I was not that active in my JC CCA, does that mean I do not stand a chance of getting Hall accommodation in NUS ?

just apply. it wouldnt hurt to give it a shot. i applied despite a quite dismal cca record in jc, and i still got in.
