Hi, does anyone here have or used to have chronic neck pain? How did you manage to treat it?

I’m on strong painkiller and yet it doesn’t seem to help.

Have you tried to adjust your body posture when using computer - if you are using notebook for a long time everyday, you need to think of buying a monitor that can be height adjustable.

I have bought a pillow that has neck support (i.e. beads) and it works well.

take some anti inflammatory drug and please go do some light neck stretching every 2-3 hours and full body stretches every morning and night. nothing too strenuous.

if you are into TCM, try acupuncture.
change your posture, good luck!

Could be due to diet, posture, or state of health

Diet -> avoid taking calcium carbonate supplements. These causes calcium to deposit in places where it should not be. Stick to calcium in food and take vitamin K2 which removes those excess calcium

If it's a chronic neck pain, perhaps its the habits that you have since young. This could be bad posture from sitting, sleeping or walking. Please stop your pain killers (if you can) as it doesn't help on a long run and it damages your kidney if taken too frequent.

I would suggest a chiropractor for your case and you can go to calibratesg.com to find one

I used to have chronic neck pain and used to go to TCM to get my neck cracked and massaged but to no avail.

At the same time, I accidentally stumbled upon mewing (youtube: Should Tongue Rest/ Touch at the Palate/ Maxilla/ Roof of the Mouth By Dr Mike Mew) which is the proper way of resting your tongue on the roof of your mouth. After learning mewing, my neck pain miraculously disappeared.

like I'm sure it'll be different for every one but it really worked for me! anyway, to engage in mewing, you have to force your body to maintain a proper upright position most of your waking time and it is a huge effort but it is damn worth it.

there's no harm trying, just need a lot of effort to do mewing properly, hope this helps!
