If so, then you will have to read up the existing to bank version of your TnC as the registration and requirement is slightly different. - https://www.cimb.com.sg/content/dam...overning-casa-bonus-interest-promo-23-etb.pdf

You better check if the FD monies is counted as fresh funds based on the TnC Point 5

This is for the interest calculation. If you do not have the base amount required, then you wont get the base interest for the day
Actually I’m interested on this also. Have FD maturing from CIMB. Will transferring out and in again count as fresh fund? Anyone has experience on this? Thanks.

I share before you just need to go one big round. CIMB FD mature that total amount txfr other bank go one round and then txfr back into your CIMB fastsaver. Anyway my promo end Jan 2024 so will be on the lookout for others.

PS 4.2% CIMB FD was the best I think from late last year. Still got a few maturing coming Jul 2024 as they also offer 18 months last time

Not civil service but when I used to credit my salary with CIMB I would get it a day earlier than my colleagues using DBS/POSB. Actually I think it’s DBS/POSB accounts that get the salary credited 1 day later than other banks’.

If i start applying for a new fastsaver account today, i won't be able to make it for the 31st Dec dateline right, since the clause states that it needs 5 working days to get the account approved. I wish i have come across this thread faster.

i got my payment commitments to meet... insurance for car and health.... road tax and start to prepare for ang bao too
Ang bao culture should change as time passes by. It is a real meaningless exercise to compare you got how many kids and the other party how many. Then you see this year they give how much so next year you need to at least match up to ensure the other party don't lose monies or for some match down.

When we see match down it implied the other party not doing well e.g retrench retire etc so we see how close to give same as previous years etc.

So if no ang bao no headache and also fairer to those childless couple as they rugi monies every CNY. But if monies is no problem for all parties no issue at all.
