Then Is it in order to earn the bonus interest for Aug , we need to ensure the account is empty on 31st July ?
Comparison month is Jun.

Aug BI will also be based on account value as of 30th Jun 2026
Refer to TnC Section 9, the table "30 June 2026 (Comparison Month) " or Section 8 A

Hi all, noted that the standing instruction is not applicable to StarSaver account. The question that I have is what is the optimized approach (to get the maximum interest) for large balance?

Do you all still proceed to park the large balance e.g. $500K only in StarSaver even though the standing instruction is not applicable?

Any comments, view and suggestion is well much appreciated. Thanks!
I think the optimum amount is $1M in the SSA and your effective interest rate will be 2.20% (preferred banking customer). Indeed this is the best in the market, sad that i missed it for 1 month..

Anyone here transfered funds from between cimb accounts AFTER the first initial transfer from another bank (DBS) and still earned bonus interest from experience?

Deposit in July, on 1 Sep we need to withdraw all funds?
You can choose to withdraw all or partial on 1st Sep 2026.
You can choose to continue with the Sep 2026 promo, if there is one, but not advisable as you are likely to hit the ceiling or lack of funds for the bonus interest gains.

30 Sep then bonus interest will credit for Jul and Aug?
Previously, there were months where they credited the bonus interest earlier, but most were only on that day.
If i am not wrong, there was once or twice where it was delayed(?)
But expect to get your BI on 30 Sep.

Sidetrack a bit. CIMB last time no minimum sum now is 10k come with tier structure. You get best if hoot 75k and do that stupid recurring transfer SI via Giro for 1k. If do wrongly lose the 0.5%. You prepared 75k and play game?

"SI via GIRO $1,000" award you an additional 0.5% for the first $25,000 balance in FastSaver Accounts. If you are going for the StarSaver account, this is not applicable.
