Your phone with the OCBC Pay Anyone app can be the virtual ATM card as OCBC ATMs support withdrawals with QR code - press the bottom left option at the ATM screen to select the Pay Anyone option.

So even when you cancel the debit card, you 'retain' the ATM function.

Nice trick, thanks for sharing.

I have the black Plus! Visa debit card. This debit Visa comes with a plus! savings account. This debit Visa I am using it as my ATM card

After 1 year I will cancel the debit Visa card cos I don't intend to pay annual fee. (So I will "lost" my ATM card for good.) But the savings acc will be there for you with no annual fee minimum spend or whatever. It'll stay there but only can use as an e account for tranfer funds, etc
Can you hold on to the account without any Plus cards linked? Last time I asked they told me cannot.

In fact I have 2 plus! Account :s13:

10 years ago I have their plus! Visa credit card. After refusing to pay the annual fee. I cancelled the card but continue using the savings account. Then 2 months ago at ntuc roadshow an agent approach me to sign up the debit Visa card. I ended up have 2 plus! Account. I keep 5c in one to differentiate from the other:s13:

Cos they give me some paper coupons to enjoy some discount. I have to transfer funds into the correct one before I can use the coupon + pay with my Debit Visa

In fact I walked into the bank to ask them help me enable my current debit Visa card to withdraw from both acc instead of 1. But that cannot be done. 1 card can only be link to 1 account. But doesn't matter cos after 1 year they'll charge me and I'll close. I'll left with no cards but 2 acc anyway.

Can this be use to deposit cash?

They have this little clause: Daily interest will be paid on the entire daily balance, provided that the balance is at least S$1,000 in your CIMB FastSaver account on any given day.

Does this mean that if there is $0 from 16 Jul, they will still pay interest for 1 to 15 Jul? Or interest will not be paid at all?

Current rates until 14th only, revised rates are effective from 15th.

15th can move funds liao to higher interest ones.

You are right. New rates wef 15 Jul. So move out on 15 Jul, not 16 Jul.

I remember this. Savings rate used to be good when they first started.

MY account got no fall below monthly fees that come with ATM card. No account book issued. Everything check online banking.

Unless you opt in paper statement which will cost $2 per month.
By default no fees will be charge unless you tell bank to do so to send you paper statement.

Is there any difference between my account and those normal savings acc where we need to maintain $500 min?

Difference meaning something my acc cannot. Only those $500 min acc can?

all my other banks debit cards no annual fees, so was quite surprise some actually do charge...

Uob will only waive the $18 annual fee if you charged 12 times per year

But of course if u refuse to pay, u can ask them for the basic ATM card. No visa function type

NO $2 charge unless you ask for paper statement during sign up.

By default no paper statement will be send to you. So don't worry.

My balance has been under 50 since March opening, no fees are charge till now.

When all is done, I'm going to close OCBC saving account, you know maintaining 1k per month is a killer during this period.

Not bad, now open and deposit $5000 still can get 0.8% for 4 months based on the account opening promo which ends on 30th June.

The footnote : Additional Interest will be accorded for 4 months period starting from the 3rd month of account opening.

So if open in Jun, must place min $5000 fresh funds by Jul. But 0.8% interest only given for Aug to Nov ?

i called the bank, the interest will only be credited into your account at month-end so the earliest to close is 1 Aug.
