Some of u said got new tc so I thought must follow new tc ma. Also Cimb website today no more put July as reference month but august instead so I thought Cimb changed the promo.

My fastsaver opened years ago and I registered the promo in Aug.
For those that played the HSBC EGA game, we will know that they will publish new T&C every month for new registrants.

Looks like CIMB is following this pattern.

You will stick with your own T&C under your registration month until end of the period (for your case: Existing Customer, Aug to Jan). Best if you can keep a copy of the T&C for your own reference because there will be many flying around T&Cs that are irrelevant to you.

Yes this was mentioned a few pages back on the promo mechanics by CIMB.

For the 3.5% interest (existing customer)... is it applicable for only 75k? More than 75k, then put somewhere else?

I thought i read 2m somewhere too... but this morning, tried to confirm but cannot find. Only saw the part about prevailing interest for different tiers up to 75k..

Edit
Although now i found the text saying "No cap on deposit amount"... think should be safe to put more than 75k

But suppose to be only 1.5%. Prevailing interest. Then bonus int is 2% on 20th?
depending on amt and which account. Fastsaver base interest is tiered every 25k while Starsaver is tiered 1.5% <150k and so forth.
End of the day, every 20th will credit whatever balance up to 3.5%

Learn to read, and check a page or two back instead of posting repeatedly new posts in multiple threads.

It's still flat out 3.5%, mechanics similar to HSBC EGA where your reference month depends on when you register for the promo.

didnt intepret the table correctly. the "For New-to-Bank customers:" column indicates how much bonus interest they adding for each tier, which in this case, each tier adds up to 3.5%, making any amt earning 3.5%.

for existing accts, the interest is applied to the difference in balance against 31Aug2023's balance.
lucky for me, i emptied my account in aug

true if you register this month, if you registered last month and for existing accounts, it'll be against 31 Jul 2023

^Interest accrued daily and credited monthly. Daily interest will be paid on the entire daily balance, provided that the balance is at least S$1,000 in your CIMB FastSaver Account on any given day.

1Initial deposit will be refunded to the originating account in the event deposit application is unsuccessful. Please expect a longer turnaround time in receiving the refund of the initial deposit if initial deposit was not sent using the accepted methods as stated above. If the originating account is not under the CIMB deposit applicant’s name, any request to refund the initial deposit to the applicant’s personal account requires a documentary proof i.e. bank statement. All incidental charges and foreign exchange arising from the refund will be borne by the customer. An indemnity form may be required to be completed by the applicant before any refund can be processed.
