CIMB fixed deposit

Hi, does anyone know if I can deposit MORE into a fixed deposit account. Sorry if I sound foolish but the word fixed makes me puzzled. I am afraid it will affect my interest rate. So can anyone advise me?

In case you are wondering, I am talking about the CIMB step up deposit account.

Hi , I dont really get your question..
The fixed deposit normally requires a minimum sum of money to be locked in for a period of time to earn the interest offered. There is no limit on any amount as long as the minimum is met.
But take note only the first 50k is insured under SIDC.

Usually you cannot, or you will have to put the new money into another fixed deposit. For CIMB you can redirect that money into the StarSaver savings or current account.
